Church of Our Redeemer
Clergy at Our Redeemer
Reverend John Thomas Sheehan
The Reverend John Thomas Sheehan was called by Our Redeemer as its first fulltime priest in the 153 year history of the parish. Since his arrival, the parish has grown and been revitalized. Under his leadership, the church returned to full parish status in the diocese and has been self supporting, leaving diocesan aid in 2004.
John was ordained a priest in 2001 and received his Masters of Divinity from Trinity Episcopal School for Ministry in Ambridge, PA. He is currently pursuing his Doctor of Ministry from Trinity.
Before joining the priesthood, John worked in various legislative and political venues in Washington, DC, including the Center for Media and Public Affairs, the National Republican Senatorial Committee and the Chamber of Commerce of the United States. But he is most proud of his work with the Bailey Family Foundation, which provided financial assistance and scholarships to deserving students.
John and his wife, Denise, have three children Ryan, Kerry and Matthew.
